2024-2025 Leadership Opportunities

Campus Ministry needs student leaders to help create, plan, and run our various ministries. Below are just some of the many opportunities for you to share your insights, experience, and faith with other students. Please consider the options below, or email us to suggest other ways you would like to share your gifts:

Multicultural Ministry Leadership

Do you belong to the Asian, Latino, and/or Black communities and would like to see your faith culturally expressed in Campus Ministry’s programming? By being part of the Asian, Black or Latino Student Ministry leadership committee you can help shape multicultural ministries and bring part of your home to campus! Apply here and thank you for your interest in the intersection of faith and culture! For questions about serving in a leadership committee, contact Diana Salgado Huicochea at dsalgad2@nd.edu.

Faith + Justice Leadership Council

The new Faith + Justice Leadership Council will oversee our growing faith and justice initiatives in Campus Ministry, and will include three teams:

  • Mercy Works Core Team

  • Immersions Core Team

  • Advocacy + Engagement Core Team

In addition to working on their unique areas, all three core teams will gather as one Leadership Council for prayer, community, and formation monthly. A lower-commitment leadership opportunity is also available, Mercy Works Small Group Leaders, who will lead monthly reflection for Mercy Workers in small groups. Please see these position descriptions for more information. No experience is required. Apply here and let Becky Czarnecki (rczarne2@nd.edu) or Cam Stillson (cstills2@nd.edu) know if you have any questions.

Paschal Watch Retreat Planning Team

Plan and lead an on campus retreat over the Easter Break as part of this dynamic retreat team! Apply here or contact Megan Urbaniak (megan.urbaniak@nd.edu) with questions.

Compass Leadership

Apply to lead a Compass First Year small group or serve as a member of the Compass Core Team. Apply to lead a Compass group here and to join the Compass Core Team here or contact Meg Hunter-Kilmer (mhunterk@nd.edu) with questions.

Small Groups and Bible Studies

Whether you’re an undergrad, a grad student, a faculty member, or a member of staff, we’d love to have you lead others as they seek Jesus! Small groups will be assigned in one of three ways:

  • Through residence halls

  • Through other clubs and interests (sports, majors, performing arts groups, multicultural groups, etc)

  • Randomly through Campus ministry

Please apply here if you’re interested in leading either a Bible study or a book club or contact Meg Hunter-Kilmer (mhunterk@nd.edu) with questions.

Abide Core Team

Sign up to run our weekly Catholic community night, complete with worship, talks, small groups, and fellowship. Apply here or contact Meg Hunter-Kilmer (mhunterk@nd.edu) with questions.

RCIA / Short Course Sponsorship

Sponsors serve an essential role as they accompany students discerning becoming Catholic or getting confirmed through our year-long RCIA or semester-long Short Course. Please fill out this form if you are interested, or contact Brett Perkins (brett.perkins@nd.edu) if you have questions.

Journey Mini-Retreat Leaders

Retreat leaders plan and serve on mini-retreats that allow students to spend a few hours off-campus relaxing in nature, enjoying an outdoor activity, and reflecting on life’s biggest questions. Contact Mary Catherine McDonald (mmcdon18@nd.edu) to learn more.
