Organ Recital Series:


Location: Basilica

On the last Wednesday of the month when classes are in session, an organ recital will be held following the 11:30 a.m. daily Mass in the Basilica. This Wednesday, Sept. 26, from 12:15-12:45 p.m.,  Dr. Andrew McShane will perform the music of Georg Böhm (2 September 1661 – 18 May 1733). Böhm was a German Baroque organist and composer. He is notable for his development of the chorale partita (a set of variations on a theme) and for his influence on the young J. S. Bach. All are welcome. …
