Journey Retreat (All First-Years)

The Journey Retreat offers first-year students a 24-hour break from the hustle of campus life to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with what matters most.

By exploring the Gospel stories, students will encounter Christ in a personal way. Together, participants will look at the lives of those who met Jesus face-to-face, discover how He met them right where they were, and how their life paths were forever transformed. Join us to explore how Christ is actively meeting and guiding you in your own story.

2026 Journey Retreat Details

When is the retreat?

Friday, October 2 - Saturday, October 3, 2026

Who can attend?

This retreat is open to all first-year Notre Dame, Holy Cross College, or Saint Mary's students.

Where is the retreat?

The 2026 retreat will be held at Pretty Lake Camp in Mattawan, Michigan. All students will ride the provided round-trip transportation, included in the cost of the retreat.

Students should be prepared for an overnight campground stay, including sleeping bag/sheets, bug spray, and athletic shoes. A full packing list will follow!
