Unhoused: A Mercy Works Immersion

Join us for a South Bend immersion experience at the end of winter break! Throughout this immersion, we will experience and explore the importance of the works of mercy and their ability to lead us into deeper solidarity and holistic kinship with our neighbors. Activities will include community meals at Our Lady of the Road and Hope Ministries, a walking tour of South Bend with the city’s Homelessness Coordinator, and various forms of prayer.

When is the immersion?

Friday, January 10 at 2:00 p.m. - Sunday, January 12 at 12:00 p.m.

Who can attend?

This immersion experience is open to all Notre Dame, Holy Cross College, or Saint Mary’s students, undergraduate and graduate. Apply here by November 24.

Where is the immersion?

We will sleep and spend our time in downtown South Bend. Students cannot return to their residence halls until the retreat is complete.

Immersion Fee:

$50 fee (financial assistance is available)
