Contemplation in Action Retreat

Prayer and Service in Christian Life
Are you committed to service but don’t see how your service fits into your faith? Do you have a strong prayer life but struggle to find the time to serve others? Or maybe, you are already committed to both prayer and service, but are looking to deepen your understanding of their connection. If so, join students from Campus Ministry and the Center for Social Concerns to reflect on these questions at Notre Dame’s first “Contemplation in Action” retreat.
The retreat will provide a space for students to reflect on the connection between their own spiritual lives and social justice work and to root the work that we do in prayer. We will focus on modern-day examples such as Dorothy Day, Mother Teresa, and Thomas Merton and look to the scriptural roots of our call to Christian service. Please join us as we explore the intersection of prayer and service!
