Senior Retreat
Past. Present. Future.
It’s senior year already? Am I really graduating this May? Where did all the time go??
Preparation for graduation and departure from Notre Dame can be a tough challenge. Amidst the craziness of senior year, when can you find time to process your past four years? To envision your future after graduation? To just take some time and enjoy senior year? If you’d like to take a short break from the hectic frenzy of senior year, then join your classmates on the Senior Retreat!
Through a variety of witness talks, interactive activities, small group discussions, and engaging liturgies, the Senior Retreat seeks to provide a comfortable and welcoming setting where you, as a graduating senior, can take some time to ask these questions and reflect on your Notre Dame experience. How has the Notre Dame experience shaped you? How have you found God at Notre Dame? What are you worried about as you move on to a new environment? How can you make the most of the rest of your time on campus? The Senior Retreat will foster reflection on the formative experiences encountered while at Notre Dame, as well as spark discussion about the anxieties, worries, hopes, and dreams all specific to the senior year.
The Senior Retreat focuses on three main goals:
- Reflect on the Past
To provide an opportunity for seniors to take ample time to reflect on and process both their personal and faith journeys over the past four years, as well as understanding how their Notre Dame experience has shaped who they have become today.
- Enjoy the Present
To challenge students to take advantage of their last few months at Notre Dame and help them to really be intentional about how they spend their time before and after they leave Notre Dame.
- Discuss the Future
To provide an opportunity to frankly discuss the fears and anxieties of life after senior year, as well as discussing ways in which they have overcome and/or quieted those fears.
Who can attend?
Any Notre Dame, Holy Cross, or St. Mary’s senior.
What will I be attending?
A 24-hour retreat discussing your past four years at Notre Dame, your future after graduation, and how to enjoy your final time here.
When will the Senior Retreat take place?
January 30 – 31, 2009.

The Sacred Heart Parish Center
