Sister Maria Gemma joined the Campus Ministry team in 2014 as a resource to students who may be considering a religious vocation. Sister is a member of the Sisters of Saint Francis of Perpetual Adoration from Mishawaka, Ind. Prior to becoming a Sister, she studied at Ohio Dominican University where she completed an undergraduate degree in Theology. Originally from the great state of Ohio, she became a Hoosier when she entered the convent in 2006. Since then, Sister has taught high school Theology and worked in Campus Ministry. She currently serves as Assistant Director of Vocations for her religious community. If anyone would like to talk about discerning a religious vocation, email Sister Maria Gemma to set up a time and place to meet! You may find her eating lunch in the dining hall, attending Mass at the Basilica or lounging in one of the many “hang out” places on campus. She loves meeting new people, so be sure to say hello if you see her around!
