Fr. Pete McCormick, C.S.C.
Director of Campus Ministry
Rev. Pete McCormick, C.S.C., was raised in Grand Rapids, Mich. and is the oldest of six children. After graduating from West Catholic High School he went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in biology at Grand Valley State University. Upon completion of his coursework at GVSU, Fr. Pete entered Moreau Seminary in the fall of 2000 and professed first vows in August 2002. While in the seminary, Fr. Pete spent a year ministering at St. John Vianney Parish in Goodyear, Ariz. where he directed the confirmation program, taught school and coached basketball. He returned to the University of Notre Dame to complete his master’s degree of divinity, which he received in May 2006. Fr. Pete became the Associate Director of Campus Ministry in 2014 and has served as the Director since 2015. He also serves as the chaplain to the Notre Dame Men’s Basketball team.
