Local Outreach

Catechist Formation
Catechist Formation offers students an opportunity to learn about the catechetical ministry and to provide valuable service through teaching religion in local parish programs. Notre Dame students are able to teach or act as teacher assistants on various levels ranging from kindergarten through high school/youth ministry.
Center for Social Concerns
The Center for Social Concerns is an amazing resource for all members of the Notre Dame community! If you want to get involved in service opportunities, work for justice, or become more aware of the problems or concerns that affect our world, then the Center for Social Concerns is the place to get involved.
Liturgical Ministries
The attitude, care, and manner of liturgical ministers are a sign to the congregation that we share together in this Most Holy Mystery. The Mass is the source and summit of all we do together as God’s holy people, and there are many opportunities to help with the daily liturgical celebrations at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart and within the residence halls.
Internship Program
The Campus Ministry Internship program provides an opportunity for recent Notre Dame Graduates to join the Campus ministry team and work side by side with other Campus Ministry staff members. This year –long position provides many opportunities for you to grow personally, spiritually, and professionally. Anyone considering future studies in theology and religious education or discerning a ministerial career in the Church would be an appropriate candidate.
Hall Commissioners
Working within the dorms, Campus Ministry, Liturgical and Musical, and CSC Commissioners act as a valuable link between their offices and the Notre Dame student body.
CM Abroad
The Goal of Campus Ministry in Europe is to provide Notre Dame Students with opportunities to continue to develop their spirituality while studying abroad. Instead of transplanting the Notre Dame campus, we want to help you take advantage of your new environment and to allow you to explore your faith in new ways by connecting you with the spirituality of your surroundings.
Rebuilding Together
Rebuilding Together in St. Joseph County is a part of a national organization called “Rebuilding Together.” Its mission is to preserve and revitalize houses and communities, assuring that low-income homeowners, particularly those who are elderly or disabled, as well as families with children, live in warmth, safety, and independence. Its goal is to make a sustainable impact in partnership with the community.
