Outreach and Service

Whether across the street or on the other side of the world, the University of Notre Dame is well known for seeking to give back to the community. Notre Dame has often been described as a place where “the Catholic Church does its thinking.” In many ways, the Office of Campus Ministry seeks to be a part of that rich tradition of leadership in thought and practice through its contributions to the growth and well-being of the Church throughout the world. Whether by providing student-catechists for local Catholic parishes, empowering Notre Dame students to become active participants in the life of the Church, or by offering national ministry conferences annually, Campus Ministry at Notre Dame seeks to further the mission of Jesus Christ and His Church in the local Fort Wayne-South Bend diocese, the Catholic Church in the United States, and the Church universal.
